Top 5 Virginia Wedding Venues – Hidden Gem Edition

So why do we consider these locations as hidden gems? Well to start…I didn’t know they existed! I mean probably others did but I did not lol. These locations are out there. Like winding roads, high beams on at night and wildlife on the sides of the roads, out there.

These locations provide beautiful views and photo ops all on site! These locations match perfectly with our ideal couples and we want to share this information in hopes you and your fiance will utilize one of these amazing venues for your special day. 

Additionally, we have photographed weddings in these locations and we just loved the vibes as well as the venue staff! Let’s dive in!

Note these venues are not in any particular order, these are the 5 we absolutely adore though!

 

 

Blue Hill Farm

Location of Virginia Wedding Venues: Waterford Virginia

This venue is over the hill and through the woods but it’s not Grandma’s house. This adoring Bed and Breakfast/Wedding Venue is an Architect Digest dream. You are greeted by a loving couple who are also the owners of this home and their wonderful pup! The views are amazing with different options for your ceremony/reception/cocktail hour. And the best part is after partying the day and night away, you are a few steps away from where you rest and catch a beautiful sunrise from your room. 

 

Airlie Venue and Lodging

Location of Virginia Wedding Venues: Warrenton Virginia 

This venue is tucked away in Northern Virginia and it’s so huge you can rent golf carts to get around! Also fun fact I got lost on the grounds but I made my way to the final location. There are different types of lodgings throughout this property as well as activities such as a game room, swimming, yoga and bike riding. Your family and friends have the option to stay here before and after your celebration! Throughout this location there are so many options to host your wedding/cocktail/reception. Indoor and outdoor accommodations as well! The gardens and the spanish steps are my favorite.

 

The Birkby House Venue

Location of Virginia Wedding Venues: Leesburg Virginia

This venue is perfect for small to medium sized weddings. Even though this venue does not offer overnight accommodations, you do have the option to get ready in the home. Old school charm with cute wall paper and a nice balcony overlooking the backyard perfect for first looks!

 

The Inn at Willow Grove Venue and Lodging

Location of Virginia Wedding Venues: Orange Virginia

Similar to Airlie, the Inn at Willow Grove has different types of lodging for you and  your guests. This location also offers spa and restaurant services as well as beautiful gardens, perfect for portraits!

 

Springfield Golf and Country Club Venue

Location of Virginia Wedding Venues: Springfield Virginia 

Ok so this one technically is not a hidden gem because it’s a Golf Course however last year was my first time visiting and I wanted to add it to the list lol. This location has (obviously a golf course) but you are able to venture on the grounds for your portraits. There are certain greens you cannot go on but the venue is happy to provide you specifics as to where you can and cannot go. There is also a balcony overlooking the Golf course and is also large enough for family/wedding portraits. The popular space for ceremony can also be used for the reception space.
