I hope the blog posts we have provided since April have provided lots of useful information as you continue your wedding journey! This next set of series will have a little twist to them. We have partnered with a few friendors (Friend Vendors) and asked them about their contribution to a couple’s wedding journey experience and the importance of each part of their contribution. Each person we have spoken with provides details from their perspective and some thoughtful questions that couples can ask themselves when deciding on this particular vendor. Up next, let’s continue our discussion Shanda from Flor De Casa Design all things Floral Design for your wedding day. Let’s Dive in!
Shanda provided a little glimpse into her process for working with couples. It is simple yet involved. She starts out with 30 questions to help understand the style, likes and dislikes of the couple as well as the reason for reaching out. This helps her understand the expectations and goals that her couple is wanting to achieve with their floral design. In addition to the questions, she has discovery calls to make sure that her and the inquiring couple is the right fit.
You might notice a theme with the vendors I speak with including myself! We are here for you for your wedding day so we all want to get to know you so we can execute your dream wedding!
Once a couple wants to move forward with her services she is there for you throughout! Shanda will go with you and your planner to the venue for a walk through to understand the design layout, you as the couple have access to her and her team throughout your wedding planning process as well as a few surprises along the way!
Shanda requires that the color palette along with the previously mentioned questionnaire, is available and confirmed so she can start designing your wedding florals. She mixes premium florals with standard florals for the arrangements and always makes sure the arrangements enhance the couples story and culture if desired.
I asked her what her favorite flower is and she mentioned it’s like selecting a favorite child!! Lol What she could tell me though is that she loves to work with out of the box, quirky stand out arrangements that are very welcoming to experimenting.
When it’s all said and done you would love to want to hold onto your flowers for your wedding day and or find different ways to continue to use them but here are a few options!
2021 has been absolutely amazing for her business. She has already met her 2021 business goals and is now looking forward to 2022. She is now booking for 2022 btw!
And THAT is all things Floral Design! I hope this was helpful for your wedding journey. Feel free to comment or even reach out to Shanda for more information!
Tune in next time where we speak with more of our friendors (Friends who are vendors)
